Champlain LHIN Indigenous Cultural Safety Training

As you may know, the Indigenous Cultural Awareness was added to the LHIN-Hospital Services Accountability Agreement (H-SAA) in 2016-17. As such, again this year the LHIN is facilitating Indigenous Cultural Safety Training, free of charge, to key healthcare service providers across the region. The Indigenous Health Circle Forum has prioritized the Indigenous Cultural Safety training for hospitals, and TOH has been provided with 80 seats to take this important online training.

We have been advised that the training is very high quality and interactive. This training is part of a larger diversity strategy to build a workplace of choice where we have an inclusive culture and every individual feels included and respected for their differences; where we combine what we have in common with what each of us brings as unique individuals. If you or a member of your team would like to enroll in this interactive online training, please complete the following registration form by Friday January 19, 2018. The list of learners will be provided to the LHIN and Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health, and participants will be contacted directly with instructions on how to access and begin the training.
