The Role and Contributions of Nurses in Stroke Rehabilitation Units: An Integrative Review

Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify and describe the specific roles and contributions (e.g., skills and tasks) of nurses in inpatient stroke rehabilitation units.
  2. Analyze how nurses’roles and contributions support and enhance stroke rehabilitation outcomes, while emphasizing the importance of their practice within interdisciplinary teams.
  3. Evaluate the factors influencing nurses’ working conditions (e.g., staffing, resources, organizational support) in stroke rehabilitation settings and their impact on care delivery.
