The overall objective of this session is to provide an understanding and rationale for the identification, referral and management of Post Stroke Spasticity.

The Learning Objectives of the program are as follows:

1. What is Spasticity and how does Spasticity present in a post-stroke patient.
2. What are the consequences of Spasticity and why should it be treated.
3. When should you Intervene (Early vs late) for optimal prevention of contractures, pressure sores and pain complications?
4. What are the most important goals of treatment for QOL measures?
5. What are important concepts that a primary care clinician should be made aware of when identifying, managing and referring for PSS.

This program is open to MDs, PT, OTs, RNs and other HCPs who work with patients post-stroke.
