Grief, Loss, and Isolation after Stroke - Supporting Stroke Survivors

 

Presented by:  Mandy Byerley-Vita, Clinical Manager, Outpatient Rehabilitation Services & Ambulatory Care St. Joseph’s Hospital, Judy Mostow, Person with Lived Experience of Stroke and MOST Volunteer, and Todd Kennedy Program Manager, March of Dimes Canada

Participants will:

  • Review key components of grief, loss, and isolation following a stroke and how health care professionals can support patients/clients and their families
  • Understand grief, loss, and isolation after stroke and examples of coping strategies from a patient/client perspective
  • Explore community resources that can support patients/clients and families in this area
